UW-Madison cuts ties with Nike

Your UW Nike hat may soon be a collector's item. The University of Wisconsin-Madison no longer does business with Nike. Appeasing the hippies is likely the motive. Apparently exploiting cheap labor violates the University's code of conduct. Funny. It didn't seem to bother them when I was a TA.

To be fair, the dispute does not involve child labor as the above image may suggest. Rather, it arose from over $2 million in severance owed to the former workers of 2 Nike sweatshops factories in Honduras.

Personally, I like to cut the middle man. Fuck shoe closets, I got my own sweatshop.
